I just joined today. I'm a bit nervous now that my surgery is scheduled. Not having second thoughts, just nervous I think and a little stressed. I know how important this is for me to have done, and I have spent time and money researching for a couple of years now. I have been thru all of the testing and seminars and attended a couple of support meetings. But I still feel nervous of the huge change I have to make. I was excited at first and soooo motivated. Now I find myself having a bit of a freakout of all of the adjustments I have to make. I'm trying to decide which types of vitamins I want to take (natural vs. synthetic, filler vs no- filler. . .) and where to purchase them, finding out if my medications come in liquid forms, getting the shakes, and saying goodbye to food. I have made an effort over the past few months to 'say goodbye' to certain foods and I haven't had them since. I feel good about that but I find now that 'new' foods that I never had a problem with are popping up and keep calling my name! Help!

We will get through this. My surgery is Nov. 2nd, and have all of your fears and THEN some.
You've found a great place for support and encouragement.
The adjustments will be worth it, we'll just have growing pains for a bit.
I just take comfort in so many that have had it saying how they'd do it over again in a heartbeat.

I, like most people had the very same worries, and although you will likely still have concerns, it is a a bit easier once you have the surgery. You just deal with what you are able to manage. I thought that I had it all planned out and let me tell you, that what I had planned went out the window on day 3 when I got home. It will all work itself out.
