Things are moving right along, and tomorrow I have my psych evaluation.Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm actually looking forward to talking to the psychiatrist about this journey ahead of me.

Actually, I thought this was the silliest part of the presurgical process. And I found it a bit offensive that in order to save my life I had to pass a psych eval. I wonder why they don't give psych evals to prospective parents, or people who just want plastic surgery to look like some movie star they admire. Part of me thinks it's the insurance industry trying to create roadblocks, or the thin doctor industry playing God.

Yep, I found it to be rather aggravating....and I'm still a little peeved about it. I know that people can make up a long list of reasons for it, but the bottom line for me was that it wasn't the best use of my $200.

Mine was pretty much a joke,too. I had to fill out a questionaire that I printed off the internet to take with me. Then I spent maybe 5 minutes with the doctor. That was it. Hope your experience is better than mine was:)

well, my appointment was cancelled because the doctor's son was ill. It's rescheduled for 5/5.

My appointment is on May 9th. The pysch said the meeting would last 2 hours. I hope everything goes well.

I spent about an hour, one visit, with my psychologist who asked "get to know you" type questions. Some specifics narrowed down possible eating or addictive behaviors...and I suppose if I showed them, some work on that might've been suggested or required. That was basically it.

My daughter is a psychologist and said they use it more for screening...not so much looking to keep you from the surgery, but if something shows up that maybe could use some additional attention, they can offer it to you.

i had mine two days ago and omg was it dumb. like yes im fat i know im fat, do i want to discuss it no i dont lol. i couldnt stand it, im just happy its over. even though she wants to see me once more since i have a 6 month waiting period anyways. its like wohoo so another date where i have to be fake lol
