Hi, Around May I started using the lap lanes at the gym I go to. I was hesitant since those that use them are pretty good swimmers and in good shape (for the most part.) I try to go 3 times a week. In the beginning I did one or two laps of the crawl, several breast stroke and back stroke. I am proud to say I am no longer hesitant (I deserve to be there!) and can easily do 10-12 laps of the crawl before I do a few of the other to rest a bit, then back to the crawl. This is a huge accomplishment for me especially since swimming is my favorite exercise (I admit it, I don't like to sweat unless its yard work.) And I have seen the benefits to my body also, my arms are much stronger, under the bat wings there lurks muscle tone! :)
