of course my kaiser team is against any type of protein shakes/bars/shots. So they won't offer any advice.
Also if you love apple or grape juice but stay away even from the light ones because of the sugar...Old Orchard Healthy Balance makes juice with 8g carbs or less per 8 oz. One can't live by protein alone &it is so nice to taste something besides water.
I have bought 8 cases of Atkins as I can tollerate them.
Also some fuzzy navel nector.
But for me I found "OH YEAH" protein shakes ran them by my R.D. told there perfect 14 oz botle 32 g protein etc all in guidlines and there awesome. Banna cream and the strawberry creme my favorites :-) but everyone has there own likes goodluck I am totally happy with my choice
you didn't say how many cases of the fuzzy nectar you bought! LOL

"Atkins protein bars have 10 to 19 grams protein with 5 or less carbs and amazingly enough are not completely gross."
my taste buds 100% agree, to me this is like a sweet candybar, but with low sugar and high protein. I find them cheap at walmart.
Weird that Kaiser would say it is ok to get all your protein from food. I can't even begin to eat enough according to my doc.
I also like the Atkins bars - just about the only ones I eat.
