But within a short period of time (about a month post op) I was able to get in my protein from foods. I still have most of the cherry and fuzzy stuff! LOL!
I also bought two containers of unflavored and used it in everything at first. Refried beans, pudding, applesauce, soups etc... But I still have a jug and a half left of that as well!
Now, to slowly use it up... I add protein to some of the things I make, like flax muffins, and the like.
Some days I still have protein drink for breakfast... and when I use milk, its 1% (its what my son drinks, so I just use that... when I did milk more often, I used fat free). But sometimes I just mix it with water. Kinda depends on if I need the protein or not from the milk.
First few weeks post op, I always mixed it with milk tho... :)
One other way I use this protein powder is with the chocolate flavor. I add one scoop with a small amount of water to the blender and I add a tablespoon of sugar free cheesecake dry pudding mix. Tastes just like chocolate cheesecake!
