I am 3 1/2 years out from RNY bypass, looking for reccomendations on surgeons and facilities to have breast agumentation/lift inflation :) and possibly full lower body lift.
As we all know our self esteem took a real beating before we lost the weight. Then during the loosing process we begin the WOW moments as we look at the scale and mirror and change out our closets we smile more glance at ourselves in mirrors we pass by, and actually smile.
then the Skin starts to protrude over the Bra straps (back fat) or we glue ourselves into our bra cups to keep from falling out because we now have no filler tissue just skin, and the skin under our arms (bat wings) flap when we move our arms to fast, or the muffin top that will not go away, we cant buy larger pants because then they fall down.
so then our self esteem starts falling into the basement again.
I need some help what kind of questions should I ask?
What thing should I look out for in consultations? I intend to have multiple as I need a baseline to learn the lingo.
I've been checking out the American board of plastic surgeons the ones accredited for dealing with post Gastric Bypass patients. I am located in the Desert in California and am not opposed to going to Las Vegas or down to Mexico (TJ) I have seen some good reviews, I am paying out of pocket my husband is very nervous at the thought of going to Mexico but cost is an important factor.
I hope to find new friends with knowledge and experience in the post op maintenance and body image improvement.

My plastic surgeon told me to remember "they're sisters...not twins " and she's right: they're not perfect but they're great to me!
My advice is to beware of anyone promising too much: a perfect result, or perfect symmetry. Is also ask each physician how long the surgery takes.... Go with the one who takes his/her time :)
I know this is kind of personal but I was curious how much all of those surgeries cost down in Mexico? I have heard of other people going down there for plastics as well and also had a good experience. A friend of mine had a tummy tuck down there and it costs about $7000 but that was like 5 or 6 years ago.
My surgery lasted 13 hours and 13 minutes for the body stuff. he uses an epidural with twilight sleep for sedation...NO general anesthesia unless there are issues with the other. They are very well equipt to handle whatever is needed. I was in the clinic for five days. The remaining 7 days were at the Hampton Inn with visiting nurse AND visits from Dr. S daily. My personal bottom line was $19,400.00. Yours will be different.
He is coming to the States the last weekend in June for in person consults. He'll be in Orlando, FL. If I'm not mistaken, he will be in Las Vagas in the fall. He is an international plastic surgeon with a membership in that association. He is certified in Mexico, and was at one time involved with the burn unit in a Dallas hospital. Not remembering all the details right now, but they are on his website. He visits the US periodically for these consults, meet and greets, and reunions with US clients.
