OT I've inherited a baby duck

just what I need. A five year old, four six week old kittens and now a baby duck that lost it's mother. I live in a zoo. Not really but it just sometimes feels like it

Hahahaha!! I have 55 baby ducks so if you need help, let me know!!! I have a farm and raise ducks, chickens, turkeys, peacocks, guinea fowl, geese, and parrots!!

ya used to have ducks on my parents farm and had to hand raise a batch once cause their momma got killed just been a while and this little guy is the only survivor, he/she is already attached to people though so I think when it's a little older I am going to take it to the local pond where families can go to feed and look at the ducks so it will be protected

We had almost everything you have except the peacocks, guinea fowl and parrots.

I used to raise ducks, and chickens, geese and turkeys. The ducks were my favorites. They are so sweet. The retarded turkey was sweet also, and the Mrs. goose who thought she was a Mr. goose was great too. LOL I had a funny farm.

Laurie I want a parrot! I love birds and my friend had a parrot for years that always picked my hair for me. :)

Anewelly, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't set the duck loose on a local pond or lake! So many of them get killed by predators or by teenagers. If you need to find it a new home, just let me know! I have a network of friends who can help!

Tenessee this particular pond that he would go to is a private pond and is fenced in on private property. It is open to families during the week and on weekends but there is a keeper there during the open times to watch over the ducks and make sure that nobody hurts them. If the other was the case there would be no way that little guy would go there I know others who could have him at their places. So don't worry I'm not going to place him somewhere he would get hurt I have placed other ducks there as well and still visit them weekly.

awww. I would take in the duckie! I would love a chicken or two for some nice fresh eggs... I already have the parrot.

Do the baby kittens like the baby duckie?

I grew up on farm. Each Spring after the Easter chicks and bunnies grew a bit and weren't so cute any more, the suburbanites would drop them off in our front yard. One year, bunny and gosling arrived together. They basically raised each other. One day, the goose laid an egg, and the rabbit sat on it. :) True!
