Has anyone ever tried Redline or Redline Princess? They are 0 Carb 0 Sugar Energy drinks. I was thinking about checking them out and was wondering if any of you have tried them and how they affected you.

I haven't tried them, but becareful of carbonation and caffeine. Caffeine will dehydrate you and carbonation will stretch your tummy.

There is no evidence that carbonation stretches the pouch.

But the artifical sweeteners might get you :)

According to a book by a prominent nutritionist, 100% of those who experienced stretched pouches after surgery were also consuming carbonated beverages. To me, it's just not worth the risk. And, as stated, caffeine is a no-no for the most part (though I think many of us do consume SOME caffeine.)

Thanks to Google, I found that Redline is not carbonated. Some have had serious side effects to energy drinks in general, so be careful.

I know we're not supposed to drink carbonated drinks, but I tried a sip just to see what happens. It did not stretch my stomach, but I could feel it bubbling. Weird sensation and will not try again :-)

Ok, so Redline is NOT carbonated. So it's just the caffeine and the artificial sweetener that I would need to be concerned off. Which I do both of already. I'm thinking I'll be ok. I know I will need to be cautious if I try it considering it says to only drink half a bottle on the label. I think I'm gonna pick on up and at least try it. I'm having some serious issues with energy lately. I have none!!!

Make sure you are taking your multi's and B12's and drinking lots of water to keep your energy up :0)

Generally, I have found it is not "artificial" sweetners that bother me. Sugar alcohols (anything that ends in "lose,' like sucralose, etc) are what gets to my pouch. But, I have used 5 hr energy w/o much problem.

I think you should read this link first before trying it... It does state DO NOT DRINK if sensitivity to CAFFIENE is a issue.
