Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. I was weathering the storm over here and although I recognzed it in my every day life, I completely forgot to post in here. Halloween, 10//31/2012, made my one year surgiversary! One year and 140lbs later, I cannot believe it. I started at 310lbs and today I weight 170lbs. I am having a lower body lift in February because I have a LOT of excess skin on my midsection.
I never ever EVER thought I would be in onederland. EVER. I look in the mirror and I still see the same person but at the same time I see this completely different woman. It's still surreal. After the LBL it's going to be even more drastic.
For anyone who is having doubts, DO IT. The beginning is rough, I'm not going to say it's not but that part is only temporary. The benefits are amazing and THEY last forever.
