my favorite shake is a little less then a cup of 1% milk. 1 scoop of protein powder, and 2 squirts of sf great value chocolate syrup. (2 tbs is the serving but i cant take that much) then I blend that on smoothie setting........next I take yogurt 4 or so cubes and blend but just till it looks like a milk shake. I do a ballancing of yogurt cubs and milk so it comes out to a cup. but in the begining you wont take that much in,
I only did a 48 hr clear liquid pre op for the revision and 24 liquid for the RNY. congrats though :)
Yogurt cubes? what is that?
i needed to do what i could to nurish my body during my complication. a friend told me about this. I put a bunch in frezer bags so I only have to do them once a week. well right now for some reason i can only tollerate protein in 8 oz of milk with a hair of that syrup. I tried the torilini sp? but it didnt set well neither did the hersheys sf chocolate...my body is a generic product woman and thats good with my purse lol
Honestly, also had and said goodbye to some foods I'll never have again. Didn't pig, but had a last bite and made my peace.
Not for everyone, but worked for me.
Still lost 15 lbs in 2 weeks Pre-op
Also joined a gym then too
Shelley :o)
I didn't have a particular pre-op diet. I was just supposed to lose 10% of my excess weight. I did it through practicing "mindful eating" and eating 3 meals a day with no snacking. I read Geneen Roth's "Breaking Free from Emotional Eating" and started working through my emotional eating issues.
You are gonna rock this thing!

I have always loved Unjury both before and after surgery. It settles really well in my pouch. I doctor mine up with Torani and DaVinci sugar free syrups. I also add decaf coffee granules to make a shake that tastes like a latte. My favorite is to add Banana sugar free syrup to vanilla unjury. It's just like a banana milk shake.
Dannon Light and Fit greek yoghurt is awesome! My favorite is the Cherry. Only 80 calories and 12gms of protein.
You'll rock this!!!
