I'm even excited and ready to begin my liquid diet SUNDAY...I'm eating Chinese Buffet today and Mexican tomorrow...and drinking a soft drink with each meal. LOL

Hello all October brothers and sisters.

My surgery is 1 week from today....Oct 2nd.

I got a real wave of the shakes when my Manager sent an email out telling everyone I would be away for 6 weeks and to redirect any requests normally handled by me to someone else.

I am NOT nervous at all....just anxious to start me new life; celebrate my new 'birth'day and start shedding my fat suit

Wittch, I'm having GBS. What made you choose lap band? They are both supposed to be amazing surgeries, I hear.

I just finished my first week of optifast. I am hungry all the time, and have no energy and suffered a headach on most days. I guess going from a few thousand calories a day to around 900 is a shock to my system. Are you aloud any food at all? I wanted to tell you about the support group that meets at the Avon health center the last Monday of the month @7pm. These are past and present bypass patients of StV.

My surgery is scheduled for October 6th and I go for pre-surgical bloodwork on October 2nd! YYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY! I love that so many of us are gonna be goin through it at the same time so we can REALLY compare notes! Thanks for all the encouragement you guys... Blessings all!

Oh and just an update on me, I started working out about 5-6 weeks ago and eating better and thus far have lost like 14 lbs... I am way excited. I just started my low carb 2 week diet to shrink my liver and in the first 2 days alone I lost the last 2 lbs and I know more will just melt off. I'm glad I got a head start b/c my surgeon only asked me to lose a total of 12 lbs and here I am with 2 more to spare and 10 days still to go. My goal is to have shed atleast 20 lbs by then. I am so amazed at myself, I haven't seen these numbers in forever. I started out at 306 and I was just happy to get below 300 for a change... LOL Anyhow, congrats to everyone past, present and future. This is just the beginning of the rest of our lives. GO US!!!!!

I was originally scheduled for Oct 20, surgeon had to change schedule, so now we are working out another date because they realize that they did not have the final okay from cardiologist! I think my date will be Oct 30!!! Deb
