Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Good luck!
What the surgeon's office is recommending isn't anything they would make money off of, they are just regular bars you would find in GNC, one even can be bought at Trader Joe's. One was the Oh Yeah! brand and I don't remember the other one. I will look into the Pure bars. I don't have to have a protein bar, but would be nice to have in my purse if I need to eat something and I don't have any good choices around.

I will say that I came to believe that nutrition bars are not a good alternative, as many contain sugar and fat, and certainly reinforce the "sweet tooth..."
I also do not find them satisfying, and always want another one when that one is finished! {:>} RickyDee/ Sleeve/ 07-28-10/-138#
