Well the call came in yesterday, I have to have the nuclear stress test for my heart - this test is 3 hours long - I pray they can get it done before my final nutrition appointment so that it does not prolong me getting a date. Dear Father, why me? I'm almost upset with myself for mentioning the chest pains and adding two additional test to this 6 months of pre-op testing and to think I was right at the brink of finishing this up, now I have to call on Monday to get the approval for the test which takes about 48 hours or more and then have them hopefully get me in before the 22nd. Okay Tami pray for patience because I've just about had it.

Praying right along with you. Sometimes these extra steps are there to teach us a specific lesson...perhaps extra patience, perseverance and determination...those are some things that I think we will need to get through the journey and come out on top :)

As frustrating as I no doubt this is for you... making sure you are healthy before surgery is very important. With that said, I'm sure I'd be feeling similar were I going thru what you are going thru.... (((HUGS)))

Thank you Becky, Mommastew and Bellzeeboo - i just googled exactly what the test is so I'll call my doctor early Monday morning schedule it and get it over with. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and as impatient as I can be at times, I know this is for my own good. God forbid they should over look something vital. Thank you all for the support.

I know all the delays are hard but I guess I look at this a little differently. Because of my obesity I developed severe Atrial Fib that was not controlled by medication. It was so bad that I was having it and often didn't feel it. It was detected through additional testing. I had to have cardiac ablation to correct the problem. This all had to be done before I was healthy enough to have WLS. It's a vicious circle, the AFib caused me to be tired so I didn't exercise or eat right which contributed to my obesity which caused the AFib. Make sure your heart is healthy, it'll give you peace of mind so when you finally do have surgery there's no questions lingering in the back of your mind about it.

So glad you mentioned it!!
I wasn't going to mention I get sick every nite at 2:30am for yrs
Turned out I had gastro-paresis, my stomach stopped digesting
If I had opted for Lap-Band, could've been deadly
Had GYN, have t been sick since :)
Precaution !!!

U know having this done is a whole lot better than the complications. That may arise later if you had not had it done. I know u don't want to hear this but facts is facts. We want u to have a healthy recovery and enjoy you trip to Weight Loss Land. Stay steady and you have my prayers.

Thanks for sharing your experiences and concern ladies. i was a little annoyed at first as with any delay, but I'm good i know this is for my good. no worries. I got this. The first thing in the morning all appointments will be made and onward I go. I don't want to deal with unnecessary complications no more than anyone else. Be blessed.
