I have NEVER owned a pair of tights in my life (even when I was a little girl.) And today I feel like I look cute in them. :) On a related matter- I have given up have my clothes taken in since it got more expensive than buying on sale. I have been in a fruitless search for basic skirts and slacks for work that I can mix and match w/ the many tops I have. (I pulled out my fall/winter clothes on Sunday-- all are size 18-20 and I'm now in 10-12's. ) We were early for the movies on Saturday and walked around the mall area. I was going to pass the J Jill store (never thought I could shop there) and my husband went in to I followed him. 20 minutes later and I had the perfect skirt (one black, one tan) and slacks (one black, one brown), size medium. They are the "ponte" fabric which is a little heavy for winter and stretches. Love them and feel so good! J Jill is my new store- I have found I do better paying a bit more and getting what I want and great customer service instead of wasting time and gas looking for sales and finding nothing. Kathy

Congratulations....that is such a wonderful feeling!! Being able to wear all these new girly things makes you feel flirty. I can't wait to get my next pair of tall boots this winter.

I just cleaned out my closet today..... it is now pretty empty. lol But I love finally be able to shop at multiple stores instead of just the few basic plus size stores. I actually have a shape now. After today I will have to go out and find some new stuff so I am ready for winter. I think I may be down to just about 6 different outfits.

congratulations.......I think about tights but still have flash backs to catholic school and the crotch hanging to my knees because they weren't made for big girls or big thighs? I'm going to think about it again now that I do have winter skirts and you for inspiration.

I get cloths at kmart. well I did as I lost it is cheep and not bad quality for the amount of time your in the sizes. I found it cheaper then our salvation army. smelled better too....I can't do smells well.

KatLin, I am LOLing. I was that Catholic school girl too. My crotch was always around my knees. I am a tall girl so they never stayed up. Good for you Picklelilly, I may try them myself when I get down a bit farther in my weight, I think they look slimming with a nice skirt.

I so love to shop also... I have recently found the thrift stores, but find that pants and what not I like new... Kohl's and Macy's are my favorite stores.... I am fitting into smalls now and I agree with you.. It is worth paying a little more and getting what we like.. Enjoy this new feeling..

I love kohl's too!

I hardly ever buy anything there off the normal priced racks - they have so many sales racks. Plus they are pretty good quality. when i hit goal my mom took me there and bought me a whole new wardrobe. it was awesome. Great mom!

I have a Kohls charge and am on their mailing list - with their sales AND the coupons they send me i am amazed at how cheap they can be!

I like Kohls also but can never find skirts there. I did get great buys on crew neck tops to mix and match w/ skirts and slacks. I love how they fit and they last! Happy Shopping to All :)
