A year ago I did the best thing for my life and my health! This year has flown by, and I look like a totally different person. I've been stable for the past couple months at 98 pounds gone. I was sure hoping for an even 100 by my one-year mark, but I'm incredibly thankful for each of the 98 pounds!

I have faith that I can continue to lose. I do best when I focus on the proper eating habits, and I'll admit that in the past couple months I've been letting a lot of sweets sneak back into my diet. I honestly sometimes forget I shouldn't be eating like my old "normal!" The good thing is I can't eat tons, so definitely no binge eating like in the past. "A lot" of sweets now means maybe one or two cookies or a piece of candy, but unfortunately that's often several times a week. So still completely different eating than before, but not the ideal that a GBS patient should be eating while still wanting to lose!

But more good news. I've gone from size 24 tops/3XL (and honestly, I did have a couple 26/28s from Lane Bryant) to size 12/M-L (I accidentally tried on a size SMALL shirt today, and though too tight, it actually went on!). Pants 20/22 to 10/12 now. Shoes that were 8-1/2 fall off of me now and I'm back to 7-1/2 or 8.

Again, I'm not perfect, so I don't exercise every day, but I went from pretty much no exercise or movement at all to at least 3-4 days a week for about an hour.

I still hear compliments all the time from people telling me I look great, even when it seems like I just saw them a month or two ago. I realized recently that I've met people recently who will never know me as a "big" girl!

Thanks to all of you who were here in my first few months last year; everyone who gave me a "hug" or responded to my posts, or just anyone who posted so I could have advice. Best of luck to all of you wonderful people who are just starting out on your journey. I'm so excited for each of you to go through the transformation I have!
