Your calorie intake is pretty normal for just 22 days PO. I recommend that you just add one protein shake to your daily regimen so that you can get your protein intake up to at least 60-70 grams per day. I'm 16 months PO and I STILL cannot eat that much protein. I have a shake at breakfast, and then I don't have to worry about it. Try another brand of protein shake. I like Click (espresso protein beverages)--really yummy. It's my favorite breakfast. Second choice is a ready-to-drink supplement called OhYeah--somes in about six flavors--something for everyone.
You're definitely going to need a protein supplement for the long haul. I know that physicians prefer that we get our nutrients, including our protein, from food. But get real. You've now got a stomach the size of your thumb. Hang in there.
My doctor wants me at 1200, but it takes a while to get there. I, like you, don't get hungry, don't want to eat and forget about it totally.
Your doing great. Keep tracking what your eating - it will help to get your calories up and protein up - your body will tell you when you need more. Keep up the great work.
Change protein drink brands (I used muscle milk 100 back then - protein drinks are less nasty when they are poured over ice...or even mixed with lots of ice in a blender). I used cup with a lid and a straw so I didn't have to smell it.
Honestly, drinking water is still more important than getting 70 grams of protein each day. Just keep doing your best, but don't feel like you have to stuff yourself. It will all work out. Hang in there!
