Sorry you are driving yourself nuts. Some people experience buyers remorse and others don't. It just depends on the person and the personality. There really is no such thing as normal as everyone is different. As your weight drops your body chemistry is working hard to find its new homeostasis (balance). Your body chemistry will find balance one way or another. Keep on top of it and do what you need to do to take care of you. Sorry you are disappointed about your husbands choice not to go. Find your happiness today doing something you love and that gives you joy. Stay focused on your daily NSV's and what you are grateful for. The new year will see a new body for you and a much lighter spirit!

I didn't have buyers remorse, but many here have. One thing I noticed was when the fat was melting, my emotions, hormones and chemicals were all over the place. It's not surprising because we store hormones and what all in our fat cells, so you're going to be getting double doses of stuff for a while. When I found that out, it really helped me keep things in perspective. Like a diagnosis of depression, or anxiety, once you know what to expect, you can plan ahead and treat it until things sort themselves out again.

Yes I absolutely had buyers remorse for a few weeks afterwards. My blood levels ended up taking several months to finally return to normal range which had me worried, my entire lifestyle changed, and my emotions were all over the place. But as the weight continued to drop and I felt better both physically and mentally, I realized I did make the right decision after all. So give it some time and see how you feel down the road.

Thanks PianoDiva! I have to admit I never had buyers remorse or hormone issues. By the way, I got a new 88 key digital keyboard for Christmas. I've been envisioning a piano on my stair wall for years and now I've got it. I'm really enjoying playing piano again and refreshing my skills.

I've heard that and experienced it the first or second month. It passes. Your new lifestyle takes some adjusting.

I started having severe and progressively worsening back pain after. My chiropractic doc theorizes that the way I was moved while being under during surgery worsened my underlying back problems because I had only occasional back pain prior. Ill never know the reason but even if that was the reason, I'd still do it again. I will probably require surgery soon. Once the pain is resolved, I have goals of kayaking and playing tennis again. And if I never had the sleeve done, I wouldn't have a chance to do those things again.

You all are so wonderful and helpful; thank you! I have been thinking about this for a while today, and I never made the connection between major surgery and my entire system going in a zillion directions afterward. That would make perfect sense. Also, I'm one of those people that people love to hate because most things I've done (except weight loss) have come very easily to me. This, however, did not. I knew I'd have to work at it, but I didn't know I'd have to WORK at it! So there's some major mental adjustments I still need to make, and I'm ready to make them in order to achieve my final goal of a healthy me.

I think, also, that my monthly cycle is also thrown off kilter and my body doesn't know what to make of it. I'm two weeks late--and no, there's no chance in you-know-where that I could be pregnant!!! However, I'm as grumpy and cranky as if it were starting tomorrow, and my family is not very happy with me. I think that a long bubble bath might be in order for tomorrow; that should help me feel better--or if nothing else will make my skin softer!

Tomorrow is another day and another year--we'll see what it brings. Thanks again, everyone!

Thanks, I am enjoying my piano. I got two sheet music pop and rock books. One is the piano for dummies which I can't stand the dummy word because I'm not a dummy. My hubby printed a strip that covered the word that said "for aspiring artists".
Hot baths with Epsom salt and essential oils like lavender or peace and calming are great for shifting moods. One of the things we learn throughout this journey is that it is okay to take care of ourselves.
