we need more info from you, and also, eating at night is never a good idea, you may just need more fluid. IF you have to eat, try some protein SF jello. let us know, all the best
thanks for the info on what you guys do at night to fend off hunger. I get enough protein during the day, I have plain protein powder to put in my food, and it seems like the only thing I can eat is fish and dairy anymore. All except for the egg and tofu I ate this morning. lol
Here is a link for more ideas on food phases and what to eat

The problem with eating before bed is carbs that don't get digested sit (there are diff opinions on this), and fibers that don't get digested, can add physical weight when you weigh in early in the AM...Not a real prob.
Try different times that work for you and don't trigger compulsive eating...rd
ps You should be eating some veggies and fruit from the beginning. Diets that tell you to eliminate food groups are not long-term and sustainable, therefore, you are likely to gain weight when you go back, even to minimal carbs, in V&F...
I'm 19 months out and still rarely feel true "hunger" unless I have skipped a meal. I do battle wanting to eat, though...the munchies, cravings, head hunger, whatever you want to call it. These things all come from my mind so putting something in my stomach won't quiet them. I have to get in my head and figure out why I want to eat when my body doesn't need nourishment. Then I work to nourish myself regarding whatever the true issue is (stress, boredom, habit, being tired, etc).

I've found that I get hungry only when I haven't had sufficient protein. Spreading your protein out so that you have at least 10 - 15 grams per meal should help you to curb the hunger.
Also, as JJ said, thirst can masquerade as hunger, so try drinking something before you resort to food before going to bed.
