1% cottage cheese (14 grams of protein per 1/2 cup)
Dannon Lite & Fit greek yogurt (12 grams of protein)
2 oz of lunchmeat with one pc of string cheese (16 grams of protein)
2 oz of pork chop - I put mine in the crockpot to make them moist (14 grams of protein)
Quest bar (20 grams of protein)
Any type of meat, poultry, or seafood typically is high in protein.
I hope that helped. Good luck with getting your protein in!
Suzie's ideas are great. I would add stuff like meatballs in sauce, shrimp or tuna salad, eggs, egg drop soup, even beef jerky.
Good luck!
What are you eating now? What types of foods and how much?
I do on intense shake, and one quest bar a day and that gets my 73 grms. Then I try to eat in between there for some extra. I still struggle with food most days.
I get my protein from a daily protein bar, and I also have a small handful of nuts or a scoop of peanut butter, and of course my meals are mostly protein.
Do your best!
Shelley
I have stopped drinking protein shakes and get all my protein through my food. I eat pretty much anything I want except carbs. I am 4 1/2 months out and eat chicken, shrimp, steak, chili, fish, pork, soft jerky....... Like I said pretty much anything I want. I try to make sure to chew everything VERY well. I have 3-4 oz of protein at meals with a few veggies and at night I have a bowl of Kroger Lite greek yogurt with nuts and ground flax seed in it. Yummy and ups the protein. The only carb I eat is oat groats in the morning. It is 100% whole grain and very good for you. Helps constipation too. I am also losing hair. I have gotten in my protein from day 1, so I don't think that is it. Thankfully, I have thick hair and no one has noticed.
I hope you get to where you can eat more soon!!
