needing someone who has had bypass to talk to

i had a bypass in april and feel like i need to spend time with people who are in the same situation. i also would like to encourage people who are having surgery you are not alone. i really need to talk to people about different thoughts and feelings i have about the operation. i still think it was the best thing i have every done, but right now i am having a complication and would like to get feedback as to if anyone else every has this problem. i have a blockage and tomorrow I find out just how serious of a blockage it is. i know that they will operate,but it depends on where it is blocked on how serious the opeation will be. i would still do it all over again. any thoughts?

Just wanted you to know I am praying for you and hope that everything turns out ok I hope you will let us know how you are doing. I had mine done on 5-31-07 than had gallbladder and appendix removed on 6-14-07 than had to have my new pouch opening stretched on 6-22-07 I am really hoping thats the last of complications. Please let me know how you are doing!!

I had my surgery 4 years ago. I have been having alot of pain lately and after many tests, and finally and endoscopy, they found I have a fistula. It is a hole with a tunnel that is leading to my "old" stomach. Gas and liquids are filling up in there and they have a hard time draining out because of all the rearranging of my intestines. Anyway, when it fills and doesnt empty, I am in pain. Kinda like trapped gas pain. Anyway, I see the surgeon on July 3rd to get a surgery date. I hope this will solve my problems. I have also GAINED back 50lbs this last year.

It is is important to talk with others who have had similar experiences as yours. Do you have a support group in your area that you attend. SG can really help answer questions for you. Also if you haven't checked out www.obesityhelp.com you might find some good info there.
