Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Liquid vitamins burn when I take them so I take Centrum Silver chewable vitamins twice a day and tolerate that very well (though I don't do well with other varieties of Centrum chewables). Good luck and I hope you find some relief!
I suggest that you locate a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. That would give you access to surgeons and medical physicians who have extensive experience with people like us. Once located, I would make an appointment with an internal medicine physician there who works with bariatric patients. I would then ask for a consult with a bariatric nutritionist. Those two should be able to do a knowledgeable and thorough assessment of your case.
I don't take vitamins as often as I should, but when I do, I take Bariatric Advantage Chewables.
BTW, my program requires me to take an over-the-counter stomach acid reducer daily to avoid developing ulcers in my pouch and intestine. I don't know if that would apply to you, but I find them beneficial.
I hope you can find a good team of physicians to work with. :)

I had my RNY in 2010 and have had a couple bouts with severe stomach pain. Both times I went back to the hospital where I had my RNY and the first test they did was an upper GI with a barium swallow using RNY protocol (our digestive systems have been re-wired, so the standard GI doesn't give them the right picture of what is happening). The first time, my intestines were twisted and I had an Intussusception - I had surgery that afternoon. The second time didn't show any twisting, but they admitted me because I was in so much pain. The next day, the test they ran showed the barium from the night before hadn't moved (it is supposed to clear the stomach/upper GI in less than an hour). So, I was schedule for another surgery. Thankfully, it resolved by itself.
There are still times when I can feel my intestines twisting - usually happens when I'm constipated, so keeping everything "moving along" helps (yay Miralax!). It sounds like you're paying attention to which foods cause you problems, but if I ate the bread and egg-whites you had the other day, I would be in a lot of pain, too (I'm allergic to egg whites and bread is on my never eat list along with pasta, rice, flour, and sugar). How do you do with protein shakes? That's how I usually start my morning. As far as meats go, I only eat super-tender cuts (it has to chew to a liquid for me to swallow it). Seafood and poultry are easier to digest than beef or pork but most fish makes me throw up (tuna is okay). Yes, my eating options are pretty limited, but that's what I expected going in to this and the surgery gave me my life back. I'd rather eat the same things every day (which I don't actually have to do) than go back to weighing over 300 lbs.
Regarding vitamins: I use a whole foods vitamin from the Vitamin Shoppe and haven't had any problems with it. The Vitamin Shoppe also has liquid vitamins and vitamins without iron.
Hang in there and keep looking for answers. You have two precious kiddos who need a healthy mom!

P.S. Another possible complication is RNY candy cane syndrome:
