So while I am getting in the protein, water and vitamins, I find that I drink or sip way too fast. I can get down 10-12 oz in 30 minutes. Sometimes I have discomfort other times not at all. Any suggestions how to slow myself down?

Also, I am not able to sleep at night- last night was the exception. Hubby slept on the couch. It's like I have too much energy or too much racing thru my head, can't get comfy, etc. Thanks for any advice.

Don't worry about the water , if you can get it in in 30 min , get it in. The reason for taking it slow is that you might hurt yourself but I could always get a glass of water in in a half hour. How far out are you? Also I found that my sleeplessness went away but while it happened , I found that my vitamins had to be taken before noon or no sleep.

Thanks. I am only 5 days out. I did happen to get all my vitamins early morning, so I'll. See what happens tonight.

im 3 weeks out and im the same way water goes down like nothing its the thicker stuff u need to work slow with

I can drink clear liquids fast as well--thank God, because I am always so thirsty. If you can do it, enjoy it. My sleeplessness in the first 2 weeks was all due to the fact that I could not get comfortable. My incisions pulled and as a side sleeper, i just could not find a comfy position. It does get better.

I've had two c-sections and was told that the recovery and pain is similar and maybe less than a c-section. When I couldn't sleep I would sit in a rocking chair and recline to sleep... kept me from trying to lay on my side and was also easier to get up in the morning because I wasn't nearly as stiff... just a suggestion!

you are soo early out just do the best u can and try to take it slow,water goes down pretty easy good luck to you:)

i usually dont get all my water in within the 30 mins but I sip all day. I take my vitamins in the morning a lot better. plus i slept in a reclyciner for the 1st couple of weeks.

Ask you doc about adding some melatonin at night, it's all natrual so it should be fine but a quick call to his office should let you know. Just keeping sipping, it gets better, you're doing fine.

I wouldn't worry about drinking water too fast when it doesn't hurt.

I had plastic surgery 3 weeks ago and had a hard time getting a full night of sleep for the first 14 days or so. I'm pretty sure the anesthesia messes with our sleep cycle. Pain pills do help. :)
