I am sorry to hear about your puppy, hopefully she has a slight injury and will be back to normal soon. I am sure you feel horrible but unfortunatly accidents happen but I know how you feel I have 3 dogs myself and they are like my children I love them so much and it breaks your heart when they're sick or injured.Best wishes!

Thank you!!! My oldest is 9. He will be 10 in September. They are my children!!! Mellow is eating and drinking. I think it just badly bruised.

I know how you feel. My kids are 7 cats and two dogs... if they are doing so great it breaks my heart. Especially my little Lucy she is my walking partner and if she isn't feeling well, I feel depressed. She will get better soon :)

My boy is one last month. I help a friend who works two jobs with her two labs. They are such good company. Dont fret to much accidents do happen and if she is eating and drinking she more then likey like your hubby said is a bruise or sprain. I have a friend who comes to visit often with her 4 dogs and her deff dog managed to hurt one of his paws. My friend is a dog trainer she put him in the kennel while they were here and also took him to work with her so he wouldn't be running around with the 6 other dogs. If your laundry room is small or if you have a crate maybe keep her quiet for a day or two to see. Buddy is walking better now so i assume rest did the trick

Dogs have a very high tolerance to pain. If she is still not putting weight o it I would recommend taking her to a vet.

I have a dog that has a hurt leg and is on a leash for 10 days. So hard for him since he's used to having full run of the house and yard. I understand.

I hope the pup will be ok. If I was you, I would take it your vet to be sure. The growth plates for dogs don't close up till they are 1 to 1 1/2 years old depending on the size of the dog and it could be a serious injury.
I have two westies and they are so much fun and joy to have as my family. Maggie age 14 1/2 and ZOOM! age 7. Both are dogs I adopted from rescue groups. I lost my first westie, Winston, last year Labor Day weekend, he was 15 and I had him since he was 6 weeks old. He had kidney disease and I did sub q fluids at home and all kinds of things to help him but in the end his little body was just worn out after 15 1/2 years. He opened the world of dog training and dog sports to me. It was tough loosing him but I knew it was the right thing to do.

Thank all of you for your support. Mellow appear to be doing a little better this morning. However, she still will not walk to much on her leg. She will can jump off and on the couch. If she still not walking on her leg by Thursday. I am going to take her to the vet. I will be off that day. My mother informed me last night that we had a dog that hurt his leg. We would carry it around. Until she noticed him outside playing until one us walk out and then he would act like he was still hurt. He like the attention. Lol!!
