Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.

Besides your surgeon wanted you on the special diet for 2 weeks for a reason. I kind of feel that its too late for the "last meal" at this point. And I wouldn't want it to hurt your recovery.
Now that's not to say that I won't have a "last meal" next month. I don't know what it will be because a lot of times I feel guilty thinking about eating junk right now. In the beginning I made a "bucket list" of sorts of food I want to have one more time before surgery. I may have a mini Thanksgiving meal since I won't be able to have my favorite corn bread stuffing again (won't do it, nope!), but I don't plan on making it too big.
I say if you feel like you want it, go ahead, but try to maintain some control over it by managing your portion size. Maybe try it in a medium size instead of large or extra large. Either way, after surgery you won't be able to do it, so it won't hurt to let yourself enjoy it one last time!
I would however like a turkey, stuffing, cranberry , mayo sandwich in my mind right now......:)
