Oh my...tummy's just a growling. Carnation sugar free 5 x a day and some chicken broth,some water....but I guess this is the BEST time to test your willpower @ Christmas time..
My surgery date is set for Dec. 31st..I couldn't think of a better date to have it done...a new me in 2014 literally!!! Wish me luck and if ya got any advice..Id love it!!!
BTW should I already stat my supplements now? or do you start after the surg? thanks

The first two days are extremely hard, I'm on day four and its so much easier for me now.

I started my 2 week diet Sunday. Bypass surgery is Dec 29th. I'm allowed to have a protein drink for breakfast and lunch. Then a lean meat and veg for dinner. In between sugar free jello, broth, sugar free pops. For protein drinks I'm have Premier Protein Shakes.

I start my supplements after surgery when they say I can start taking them.

After a few days it will get much better, your tummy will begin to shrink in size and you wont feel as hungry. I didn't start the vitamins until after surgery. But all doctors suggest different things. Hang in there you can do this!

Hi all, first post on here. Needing some support. I have finished 4 days of the liquid diet. Got to say I feel weak. Keep thinking a lot of it is in mind, because if I get busy at work it doesn't bother me until I have to get up from my desk...Surgery Dec 31

Wow! Lots of people joining us on the bench at the end of the month!! Doctors have different vitamin regimes. Since you are on liquids it might not be a bad idea to start them now. Just don't take vitamin E or essential oils - whenever I've had surgery I've been instructed to stop those supplements - something about bleeding.

I started my pre-op liquid diet on Christmas Day. I agree with you--it was a test of my willpower. And my determination to succeed. But I did it! And you can too! A new you--so exciting!

I have said this many times. I think the pre-op liquid was the most difficult part of the whole journey. Hang in there the first two days are tough, it will get a bit easier.

Yes the first few days of Liquid are the worst. I was working Graveyard shift with nothing to do most of the night too! I did mine thru Thanksgiving with all the cooking and cleaning up to do! It's rough but SOOO worth it all. I think ti did get easier after the first few days. I drank gallons of chrystal lite,

I don't think vitamins would hurt, I wouldn't do any solids without the doctor's approval. I know them and they don't mind you callin with questions every day! I did it!

Sounds like you are doing great!! As for vitamins... I started the day I came home from the hospital. But I was taking my regular vitamins up till surgery... with the exceptions of the ones they told me not to take a few days before, like JJ was talking about... :)
