since I have had this surgery, I have started to have problems with raw places in my mouth, I take it from chewing a lot. like I chew gum too, and its like the side of my tongue is kind of raw and so are some of my gums in the back of my mouth. It makes chewing uncomfortable. Any one else have this problem?
Also, many programs advise you to NEVER chew gum, if you accidentally swallow it, it could cause a blockage and require surgery to get it out. Yikes! I love gum but gave it up because of that.
I haven't even had my surgery yet but suffer from dry mouth and am always having a sore tongue or palate (the roof of your mouth). Right now I have a sore spot on my palate.
