Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
2. poop will happen and it will be bloody and smell like whoah...all normal...after i had the hot broth, i pooped like a champ...but since it's all liquids, what was left behind takes a while to come out :)
3. i think the tummy ouchies are normal...i had adhesions on my incision sites (usually happens about 2 weeks out) and doc said it would go away...it was gone 2 days later...things are getting comfortable in there and remember they shoved stuff around to get to what they needed to see/touch/cut/staple...i would say normal
4. every doctor has their own stuff...i was allowed liquid anything for the first 2 weeks...and not worry about protein intake...they still arent super concerned about protein for me and I am nearly 8 weeks out (holy cow taht was fast!)
5. nope, enjoy the rest!

No other issues. Sip and walk. I was limited to 10 min walks the 1st 2 weeks, dont know why. I drank a lota beef bullion. QWithin reason of course.
You're doing great!
Glad to read from the others that you are doing as expected :)
Blessings to all.
My body hates pooping nothing has worked but there are many things if you get to that point your doctor may have you try. Then if all fails there is a pill my docs all decided would be ok for me to try. sigh
I really think if its not sharp horrible pains it probably is normal I had revision in Dec and at my apt last week my pouch area was still tender to the touch. (surprised my pa and me) lol If you are constipated (stranger things happen on liquids) that will make you a bit sore here and there so soon out.
Always always follow your doctors orders. If you doubt what they are saying question the hell out of them. if you still doubt it talk to another provider in his office or another one.
Keep your brain active. Don't let yourself get bored because it could make you want to eat. Im like a child tell me no you cant and my brain says haha watch me find a way. :)
