My new test results should be in and i will be finding out what the game plan is. The initial talk with the nurse practioner is that i will need 30 days to correct this after the new set of lab results are in. If the infection is there 2 weeks antibiotics and then the endoscope to look at biopsy my stomach. all the while taking all the vitamin supplements to get my levels up. I think the plan is to pacify me by allowing me to sign the consent form in the meantime, which is okay but realistically it's a wait regardless. At least when I walk out on Monday I will have been able to ask all my questions, get a concrete idea of what I am facing and know the game plan leading to my surgery from my surgeons mouth and not from everyone associated with her (no disrespect to the bariatric team) but I want the layout and dialogue with the surgeon herself to put my mind at ease. Knowing is half the battle and I'm still up for the challenge because my weight loss goals have NOT changed. I still want this more than anything and no matter how many obstacles get in my way, I am determined to see it through.

Praying that you get al of your questions addressed and that you have a specific plan that will lead to your surgery.

I'm glad you are finally able to at least get some questions asked and hopefully get a plan in place. Not knowing and having somebody else in control of your future is for me very frustrating. Praying you get all your questions answered and a plan that you like in place tomorrow.

Thanks everyone i had a minor setback today, cried it out then put on ma big girl panties, wrote down all my questions and I'm prepared to go in there tomorrow and come out with a game plan. I had to be very honest with myself and embrace the fact that this setback really had me angry not so much because they need to be sure that I am ready - I was angry at the way in which it was handled and rationalizing it just wasn't working for me. So with any hopes tomorrow Dr. Vemapualli will be able to lay all my anxiety to rest and give me a clear and precise game plan so that I will know when I am headed in - I've already accepted the fact that we are looking at sometime late Mid or late April which is still a little disappointing to me because I wanted to be up and at it by June 30th when I'm expecting my granddaughter for the summer.

My hope was that this would be the first summer I could accomplish some of the things with her that she wants to do and I couldn't because of the weight. I don't know whether you all can understand that - but she means the world to me and I just want to be that on-the-go Nana she deserves. I didn't want to still be in the critical recovery stage - so i may have to revamp my plans to have her for the whole summer and cut it back down to two weeks.

Regardless of the turn out this summer I know that by 2014 there won't be any more hurdles in my way and I will have the three grands with me and have the energy to entertain them all.

The one ray of sunshine about tomorrow is that i get to sign the second set of consent forms - it's not a green light for surgery yet - but it makes it more official that it is going to happen - and hey, i'll take it. Progress is progress!!
