Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.

You can also Google "does Medicaid cover gastric bypass surgery in... your state". Going through a Bariatric Center of Excellence is also a common requirement. We do have to jump through a lot of hoops and every insurance is different. Take things into your own hands and call Medicaid yourself!

After that, you may need to find another doctor. Again, Centers of Excellence is the way to go if at all possible. Mine made my journey very easy and clear. I knew what they expected, I knew what was required, and I felt safer knowing about them.
