I went to the Olive Garden with my super skinny best friend and she ate so much more than me!!! Hee hee hee. This was my first restaurant outing since the surgery, and I thought I'd only eat one item, etc. I ended up having a lovely small meal. Two bites of salad, a few bites of mozzerella fondue, an ounce of a huge chicken skewer, and even a couple of bites of dessert. (We shared) The have a no sugar added chocolate lava cake. It's served warm on vanilla cream with strawberries, and on the inside is melty chocolate. It was wonderful. AND I brought home enough food for 2 more meals!!!

I was pleasantly surprised to see that Olive Garden has added more protein based meals to their menu. Definitely a good day!

Excellent to know this for future reference! I was wondering.. what am I going to do if someone wants to go out to eat? Not something I have thought real hard about yet. Sounds like you did wonderful.

We went out Saturday night for my sister's birthday to Anthony's, a seafood restaurant. Awesome food there in the past, the rest of the group said it was still awesome. I had a cup of clam chowder, and I explained to the server that I couldn't have the potatoes and clams. She made sure it was broth only! It was thick and rich and my pouch loved it, but I only ate half. It was great to still be able to go and enjoy with the rest of the group. Oh, and Saturday, I was 8 days out, so still in the full liquids phase.

Good to know......thank you. I've been wondering where other than seafood I'd feel comfortable going to eat.
Just in time to give us another option for our New Year's Eve date.

The chicken spiedini skewer is delicious. It has three pieces of marinated chicken, grilled veggies, and russet potatos. The chicken is like the venetian grilled chicken they used to have.

Thanks for the post, I've been terrified to goto Olive Garden because of all the pasta...it's nice to know they have GBS friendly foods on the menu!!!

Great news...that is so exciting to be able to eat out again. I remember praying that I wouldn't get sick.

I went out to lunch today and ordered a California roll. There are 8 pieces of sushi...I ate 3. Can you say I love leftovers. But it felt good to be able to order something. I don't feel so much like people are freaking out about how little I eat. That is a nice change of pace!

I met friends for dinner at Applebee's last night and order the side of grilled shrimp skewers....yummy ($4.99--I'm a cheap date now). Five shrimp on two skewers was more than I could eat but leftovers are wonderful (especially for my hubby..lol).

That sounds great I love the left overs I got a meat cheese and veggie wrap and it will last me 3 or 4 days lol
