Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I asked for an open MRI, cause i'm overweight, and I had one, but then they had to put this belt across my tummy, and that was about 3 inches high , and I ended up not fitting, so NO MRI!!!!
Now I have to wait, to find a "wide bore" MRI machine, and the dr never called me back on Friday.
Another big reason why NUT put me on this partial liquid, is cause I can't exercise much at all except stretching, and limping around walking, due to my pain.
Now i'm also nervous about after surgery, when I NEED to walk. I am scared I won't be able to walk much, and that's when I really need to!!

I'm so sorry for your challenges....wish I could wish them all away for you :( I would call your doctor about the retention of water to see if there is anything they can do... I so understand the pain.. I'm still playing with mine.. can't walk all that far so the exercising has come to a hault the last few weeks....its better than its been but taking so very long...ughh... sending prayers your way things start turning around for you real soon :)
Somehow things will all work out for you, I just know it!! And I do agree with phoenixup.... maybe there are exercise you could do while sitting? I know there are tons listed on line...
I wish you nothing but wellness!
Good luck Boo! You will get there!
I do start my water therapy on Oct. 1st. So, i'll be going 2 times per week, and doing exercises to strengthen and help with the pain.
