Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. I love my monthly support group- folks from every stage of gastric bypass and always informative topics. My nutritionist is speaking tomorrow on "Eating Out after GBS." I'll let you know if I learn any great pearls of wisdom.
On another topic, I am happy to say that not being a slave to the scale has paid off. I reached Onederland (40 lb. loss) at my three month anniversary (3/5) and ever since then, I'm not stepping on the scale daily and even went a week in Florida and never weighed my self. And today (4 days shy of my four month anniversary), I weigh 191 lbs--I've lost 9 lbs this month. My husband thinks that when I finally hit 200 I stopped worrying about it and my body relaxed and dropped the weight. I have never regretting my decision to have GBS--love it. :)

CONGRATS on the weight thing... Finding peace with our weight has to be a wonderful thing! I hope one day I will find myself there as well!
