Liquid Diet Question

So I'm having my sleeve surgery on April 14th!! I am scared to death. I am a high risk patient so I'm scared of infection and blood clots l, both of which I'm prone too. Anyways, what do you all recommend for the liquid diet for the 2 weeks prior to the surgery?

Congratulations on making the choice for a healthier life! I take it by your question that your doctor never gave you a program book yet to help you prepare. Does she/he not have a good surgery prep program? That would scare me too! The center of excellence bariatric center I went with had a whole manual of detailed info. Here is the link for it although your doctor should have their own liquid diet requirements which may be different. Please check with your center. Best wishes for your surgery!

Broth, water and caffeine free herbal teas were what I was on for clear liquids. I progressed to soft foods afterwards and am still on that diet currently. Your dr should have a specific diet for you postop.

I didn't like the consistency of the shakes I mixed but I did like the premier protein shakes. It was easy to deal with because it comes in a 12 oz container.
Currently I am using Genepro. It is flavorless and doesn't thicken in liquids.

I was just told to drink fluids and don't eat real food. I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm super hungry. I was told more of what to eat after surgery but not really. Right now I'm just taking it day by day.
