That is why i am doing the dietician etc and reading researching etc all i can before my surgery. I am sure i will experience some of what all talk about on here. But i pray that i will be strong enough to make it through this.
I am sure i will be here posting as well as i will need support as well. Mssdream. Hang in there it will get better from everything i have read and researched.
I hope you feel better soon, from what I have read here things can grt tough but the do get better, so hang in there.
I never really had the food making me sick issues, so I cannot address that. I have had it really easy and the only time I get sick(that stuck feeling) is if I eat chicken or eggs or I eat too fast. But I have heard from a lot of the people on here that it does get better. I hope it gets easier for you. I followed exactly what the nut told me as far as advancing my food choices and now, I can eat most anything,(except I avoid carbs and sugar)
It will get better. It can be hard to get used to throwing away food...but throwing it away is better than carrying it around on your ass for the next 10 years, right? ;)
A lot of people have "buyer's remorse" after WLS. It is hard to give up our emotional coping mechanism, food. Surgery messes with our emotions and losing weight will mess with your hormone levels. On top of that, your pouch is still healing and you are learning how to listen to it. Yep, that's a lot going on!!
I can tell you that it is worth it. For me, food is about nurturing my body, now...it isn't about feeding my emotions, entertainment, celebrating, etc. I've found new ways to comfort myself, entertain myself and celebrate!! Going from a size 30/32 to a size 2? Priceless!!
Hang in there!!

I was also a slow loser. I would see others that had the surgery at the same time as me and they would've lost 10-20 more lbs than me and I would think maybe it wasn't working for me or something. But then all of a sudden I would not weigh myself and, whoosh, suddenly I would be 30 lbs lighter and having to buy 2 sizes smaller. sometimes it just didn't make sense, but it happened. It this was like 7 months out.
I'm really sorry that things are so tough for you right now. I sure hope that it starts to get easier. I'll be praying for you. I do think that you'll be surprised when all of a sudden the weight is melting off and you realize you are feeling better.
