I'm 6 weeks post-op RNY. Is it normal to be lethargic at this point? I've found I've been sleeping a lot longer and deeper as well. Everything else is going well.

Yes it is normal. Your body has had quite a shock. You had major surgery. Rest a lot and take care of yourself.

Loss of energy after surgery was one of my biggest concerns. Just folding a load of clothes had me all tuckered out. I can't remember exactly when you start to feel your energy return....but it does come back. You're at the point where you can start eating "real food" now.
Make sure you're getting the required amounts of protein and taking all your vitamins. As the weight melts away and you start regulating your protein needs you're going to feel like running up the stairs of the Capitol. Go ROCKY!
