This morning my workout buddy and I had planned on an 8 AM gym call. Well, needless to say, I woke up a little later than I should have. (I've had a lingering sinus headache for a fe days, so I haven't been sleeping well.) I get up, get dressed, make my protein water to take with me and decide to get in a little something before I go. So, I ate about 3 tablespoons of cottage cheese. (I'm still on the soft food diet until I see the doc this week.) All is well...WRONG.

I guess I didn't really realize I kind of scarfed the cottage cheese. Okay...I realized it, but felt fine...until I was about to walk out of the door. Suddenly, I felt so ill. I felt like I was going to vomit. This (as silly as it sounds) along with dumping are the two things that I have worries about most since having surgery. (I hate the feeling if getting sick...so that is why I've been so worried about it.) Anyway...so I feel like I'm about to get sick. I sat there, waiting for the inevitable...and then it happened...the raunchiest belch I have ever spewed forth in my life. I was disgusted and relieved at the same time.

As soon as that happened, I felt a million times better. I also learned (one of the reasons) why you have to eat slowly. I will not do that again. What a horrible feeling! But, it was a lesson learned...and one I won't forget anytime soon.
