I had to keep my little sippy cup with me ALL THE TIME. I had to remind myself to sip every 5 minutes and having the cup hanging on my wrist, or belt, or in front of my keyboard when I went back to work helped. That's the most important thing right off the bat, especially since getting dehydrated can cause nausea, making it harder to keep water down, and around and around it goes.
Thanks for the update and wishes for smooth healing and recover from here on out!
I feel a lot better right now lost over two pounds overnight fluid loss. So just take it easy sweetie... It is a journey to rediscovery...
Is the pulled muscle a medical diagnosis or something you figured out? When I was about a week out, I was convinced I'd pulled a muscle by the left incision or done something to mess up the surgery, it hurt so much. My surgeon explained they do the most work through the left incision and use more layers of sutures (the sutures usually pull through the muscle but it is not considered a complication) which is why it hurts more than the other incisions.
Walk, walk, sip, sip, rest. repeat. Nothing is more important than getting enough water right now. If you get dehydrated, it is almost impossible to get caught back up without an IV (yuck!).
Can't wait to watch you shrink!!
