I just feel happy. That's all. I am at 183 lbs today and feel great. Started this journey at 240 exactly 5 months ago today. My clothes look great, so many NSVs especially people saying "you look amazing" and the majority don't know I had bypass. I have such a sense of control and peace -- not a slave to the scale and feeling satisfied with my food and overjoyed with my weight loss. I've never had peace about my weight- it was always a mental struggle.

I love to swim and have done water aerobics at the gym for several but have never felt comfortable swimming in the lap area because I was so out of shape I felt I didn't "belong" in the area where everyone was fit. After work yesterday I went to the gym, got in the pool and swam laps (various strokes) for 45 minutes. I wasn't self-conscious and can't wait to go again. Last week with my granddaughter and two week old grandson I had energy and could carry the carseat without gasping.

I just feel happy and healthy.
