So i am about 5 days post op. I must say regret has crossed my mind a few times. I am such an indpendant person its hard to deal with not being fully mobile. I must say i have ran a ring in the living room carpet trying to keep myself busy. Drinking every hour on the hour is annoying to say the least.. I must say this is a huge challenge and i am glad that i have this group to keep me motivated. No real point to my story just had to vent!! Lol thanks all

:( First few weeks just suck plain & simple. I cried at least once a day for the first 2 weeks. Week 7 it was like a light was switched on... and it was golden from then on out. Hope you will soon be feeling 110%. Speedy healing. Keep sipping & walking, it does help. Deep breaths of fresh air helped me too... cleared the cobwebs.

Welcome to our world. But I dont think once an hour for drink is quite enough... try every 15 minutes... You really do not want to get dehydrated. Once you heal you will love it. I have lost 64 lbs since July 13th 2010 and I am amazed at the things this old body can now do. To the simple things as putting my socks and shoes on and not getting out of breath... reaching the passenger side floor board in my car from the driver's side with my seatbelt on lol fitting between isles in a clothing store and so many many more. Do not get discourages but feel free to rant and rave when you need to get it poff of your chest... that is what this site is for... to help us get through the hard sayts along with sharing the "wow moments"

I hear that regret is a "normal" feeling after this surgery so deal with it and get over it ;) that was a little sarcastic joke.

The first two weeks are not pleasant but it gets sooooo much better! hang in there!
