Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
The biggest gift of my sleeve is if I eat my protein, followed with a few veggies, I fully satiated. I don't need more food until it's time to eat again. I stay full longer, hunger isn't as intense as it was before my surgery, and if I stay away from the carbs, I don't crave them. If I do indulge once in a blue moon, 3 days of proteins and low carb veggies puts me right again.
It's not just the next year that will be better, it's the next and the next and the next....... Keep on doing so well!! Practice now makes your recovery and progress so much easier afterwards!
As MNMama said, your pre-op success portends well for your success post-op.
Next year will be better in more ways than you can imagine!! I'm looking forward to "watching" you shrink!!
