Hmm. Today I wore a pair of trouser jeans (Lane Bryant) that are getting a little loose, a shirt and a cute cardigan sweater that I have worn several times over the past year. Within 2 hours, no less than 5 people told me how cute my sweater was (one person who is pretty uptight even used the term "adorable.) I really think they noticed my sweater today because they are noticing something "different" about me since I've lost 27 lbs. It is the same sweater I have worn before but now it's "worthy" of mentioning because I am less fat. I am not expressing it well but does it make sense to you at all. Kathy

If I understand you correctly :-) my family doctor who had RNY herself warned me before even seeing my bariatric doctor... One thing she noticed about surgery is when you get smaller, it's a ugly fact, buy people treat you different. She told me it had even made her angry.... And when it happened to me it upset me too. I had walked in to this store a hand full of times. Each time ignored... Someone even turned away like they were to busy one time. I always went in after work so I was always dressed nice... I stopped going for a few months. Went in after loosing a lot of my weight... Every where I went someone offered to help me. Each person I saw put a smile of there face and checked on me :-/ I walked out even more angry then when I was ignored. So now cus I'm smaller I'm good enough to help?!?!?

TxShyanne- Yes, that's what I was trying to express. And I've only lost 27, they'll be fawning all over me in a few months LOL. Thanks for confirming that my rambling had a point :) Kathy

I must have had 5 people ask me if I had a new haircut/glasses/makeup etc, the first few weeks. It got to be pretty funny!

its funny how different people treat you when your not as fat..i went thru it too..i shop at walmart and target...so ,i being male dont expect anyone to help me anyway lol..just let me buy my stuff and get out!! ;-)
my wife gets pissed because she likes to "shop"...i go..i buy...i leave lol

Sad but true.....I try to remember that and go alittle extra to make sure I dont treat some people different, WHY ARE WE LIKE THAT?? But I gotta admit (this may ruffle feathers) when I see some people who are total slobs, come on now, ya know what I mean, I'm not hatin" I even think Good Lord, do you own a mirror !!!!!! Sorry,
