Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Maybe a conversation or a sign addressing respectful interaction might help?
"This is the home of a WLS patient. I am learning new healthy habits and altering my lifestyle. You did not have the surgery, I understand. However, my commitment is to a healthy environment, in all ways, so that I will succeed.
You can support this success by observing respectful principles of interaction. For me, at this time, it includes keeping unhealthy foods (for me) and meal times separate from me. Thank you for understanding; please ask me if you are unclear on the principles or meaning of this note."
I hope this helps; I am trying to creatively think about what might have helped me in the beginning when I couldn't tell cravings from hunger.
Sent with kind intent,
O
Best wishes Crystal!
