Check with a local asian food store or a kitchen supply store. You can get a bamboo roller to make your own sushi. Some deli's use brown rice and that's ok because it has protein. Many kinds of sushi don't have seaweed on the outside, and you can roll your own fish and brown rice and make your own sushi.

I don't have an answer for you, but I would LOVE to know the answer. I love me some sushi!!!!

I'm not normal as far as most GB pts go but...

I do edaname, I order spicy tuna roll and specifically ask for the roll to be made without rice (i stay away from rice/too dense) and sometimes cukes don't work for me so I have them swap the cuke out for avocado.

I also do sashmi (strips of fish) and can typically eat alittle chicken teriyaki from my bf's bento box.

Most sushi places also have sashimi (no rice) and they also have tuna in many restaurants cooked rare and sliced. Often it is served as an appetizer...I have eaten this many times and enjoy it with miso soup. PF Changs has it... rd

I have had sushi dragon roll, godzilla roll and fat girl roll and only eat a piece or two at a time. I have had no difficuly. d

You got me craving sushi, too! So, I wnt down te street and ordered some for lunch. Just some fish, avocado, cuc and tofu wrapped in nori. IT WAS AWESOME! Super expensive lunch, but, I have 4 more pieces for dinner

I do sushi all the time. Love it. One place near me will do soy paper instead of seaweed and it goes easier for me. I find the seaweed to be tough and hard on my pouch. They will also use brown rice. I get edamame first, Loaded with protein. Sashimi is a good option as it is just the fish. stay away from anything tempura (battered and fried). It's actually a pretty good option when going out.
I alo ask for them to cut in smaller pieces for me. They always accommodate. My requests.....



Now I want sushi!
