Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
My first goal was 199lbs and my second was a size 16.
Now my next (and possibly last) goal is 150lbs. I've never been anywhere close to that small as an adult so I have no idea how I'll look/feel once I'm there. It might be enough, or I might decide to go smaller.
I take 10 lbs at a time and at every 10 lbs lost I treat my self with something. My first 10 I bought a bariatric cook book, 20 lbs I bought a purse I wanted, at 30 lbs I started riding my bike with my husband every Sunday, at 40 lbs. I got 2 new pairs of pants and a belt to wear with some of the things that are now to big. I'm 1/2 lb away from 50 lbs, not sure what I'm going to do for that goal.
