I need to lose 35 pounds in order for my doctor to do my surgery...I have done everything else they have asked of me quit smoking, cut way back on my caffine intake started the vitamins...trying different protien shakes...I was going to the gym at least 3 times a week and then I hurt my hip and had to stop for about a month...and now I just cant seem to get motivated any advice???

You have alot to be motivated for right now. You can get the surgery if you lose this small amount of weight. 35 pounds is not alot to lose. Think of what you will gain with losing it. You will be getting a start at a new and wonderful life. Set a daily goal each day. "I will work out for at least 30 minutes and eat healthy". Cook your own meals. Don't do fast food. Cut your portions by making less food. Don't use the extra butter or extra cheese you would normally. Ask your family to hold you accountable and help you through this tough time. Remember you can do ANYTHING you put your mind to. This 35 pounds will get you to the first day of the rest of your life. YOU CAN DO IT>...

My Dr. makes his patients loose 10 pecent before surgery by using Medifast, it is a liquid diet...no food just the 5 shakes a day and tons of water...it works, I have to loose 30 pounds by March 20th and have been on it for 3 weeks now and have lost around 15 of it. Dartgirl your motivation is right in front of you. That picture of you with your three-year-old says it all. Little boys can be in such awe of their "pretty" mommies. I remember when my son (now 24) was little. Every time I would do myself up pretty to go out he would want to sit on my lap, touch my hair, and just stare at me with that adoring look on his face. What sweet nectar of life!

Your 11 year-old will be impressed with mom's strength, determination, and discipline. He will be proud of you and inspired to be like his mom. You can't beat these feelings either. You will feel like superwoman!

All of this is in your future if you can just drop that 35 pounds and start to feel good about your self. You will exude a powerful charismatic aura because you are happy being you.

It's a small price to pay to become so irresistible. How's that for motivation?

Maybe this will help. I read this on sparkspeople. It read,
(Nothing taste better than what thin feels like) I read it and loved it. I posted on my fridge with a picture of me right before the surgery.
I would do the shakes for now. hug, malena
