I am having a lot of tummy issues. I can hardly hold anything down and am worried about it possibly being a stricture. I am sitting home waiting for a call from my surgeon but he is in surgery all morning. The office is going to have him call between surgeries to see what he wants to do. Any encouraging words and thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi.. i'm sorry you are not feeling feel.. and hope that you will get to feeling better soon.. from what I understand a stricture is an easy fix and common. Hope that you hear from your surgeon soon.. take care..

From what I understand a stricture is where the opening has become too small from scar tissue and what not and would need to be dialated. Thank you Diane. I am just sitting at home trying to not think of all the horrible things that could go wrong. I have been basically pretty routine in everything so far so this is a first.

Strictures seem to be one of the more common and fixable issues. I didn't have one but from my understanding they can be from scar tissue. I gently massaged my stomach in a clockwise direction and gently worked on tight places after surgery. I do a lot of scar tissue release work in my work. Best wishes for a quick fix!

I was thinking of a possible stricture too
Chewed my food really well tonite, still got sick
Guess chicken may not be my friend anymore:(
Will ask Doc in 2 weeks when I see him
Let us know how things go

It was pain and vomiting but only after about 15 minutes after eating. Weird. I got the endoscopy and my sticture was pin hole sized. They dilated and I am still having issues but we are working on it. Hope it's not the same for you.

Does all of this talk of strictures mean that they had to go back in and do some kind of repairs? I pray that you are okay cause that sounds a little scary to me.
