I know I am full when it aches.

Nearly two weeks out and I only know I am full when I get this last swallow and it starts to ache. Is this so full it will start to stretch my pouch?

I don't know about stretching the pouch, but I feel for you and the "aching" feeling. No fun. But at two weeks out, what are you eating? I was just getting to pureed at that point and soft at 4 weeks, then regular at 6. You probably still have a lot of swelling and that may be part of it. If you are concerned, call your doc or nut and ask. Mine have been all too happy to answer my questions. Good luck!

8 days after surgery I was given the green light to move on to pureed food. At first I couldn't tell when I was full, and I think that was because I still had swelling, so I measured everything, and then I started to notice that at some point I would get the burps, and the food just wasn't appealing anymore...like I didn't even want to take another bite!!! I'm from the clean plate generation, so it was hard for me to waste the food, but the alternative is to let it go to waist (mine)
Watch for softer clues and stop before you get to pain. I've had the pain twice and I never want it again. It hurt all the way to my back.
Hang in there it does get easier and better and better.

It is a process to figure out our full signals... At first I didn't even get one... then a few weeks later i could start telling. Now, its either a burp, or a pressure of sorts.... Keep listening!! things will probably change as time goes by!
