I Hate/I Love

Hi all!



I hate this new format!!!  That's why you haven't seen as much of me here; it's too much of a pain in the now-smaller-patootie of mine to deal with.



Hope everyone is doing well.  I've stalled for now.  I had my RNY eight months ago (well, eight months and ten days, but who's counting?) and am down eighty pounds.  I haven't budged in a few weeks, but I can see and feel my shape changing.  I laugh when I see my upper arms, giggle when I see my ankles, smile when I see my ever-shrinking butt, but cry tears of despair when I see myself without a bra.    Oh well, three out of four ain't bad, right?



So what is it that I love?  I'm FINALLY able to wear a size 16 pants!  (I started at a size 26.) The other thng I love is running into people I haven't seen in a long while and they look at me with that don't-I-know-you-from-somewhere look, and they don't realize I'm me until I start talking.  I also love how I can be assertive in restaurants without being downright annoying.  I learned it's perfectly okay to ask for just a plain, grilled chicken breast with sliced tomatoes on the side, and I wouldn't be able to finish it.



What else do I love?  School starts tomorrow so my kids are out of my hair!  LOL  (just kidding.  I'm really excited for them; my son is in his last year of middle school and my daughter is a high school senior.  I get to plan TWO graduation parties next June!)

Congratulations! I'm with you on the new format but one plus is that after the first reply we can go back and edit our main post. For years I have wanted to add/edit things to the what newbies post and now I can. Yeah the saggy skin suit can be entertaining to observe and the breasts that look like tennis balls in tubes sox fit great in the Body by Victoria Push Up bra! 80 lbs and size 16 are awesome! Stick with your program and address any emotional or stress issues and the pause will end. Yeah school starting means more you time! And more traffic for me, ugh! Good to hear from you! Hope you keep coming back! I miss your humor and input!

Great to hear from you. You are one of my inspirations. I'm 3 months out and down 45lbs. Still learning everyday how to deal with emotions, grief, etc, without medicating with food. I'm so grateful.

Hey, hun!! I've missed you!!

I agree - I don't like the new format. I'm forcing myself to use it because I can't imagine what I would have done without it. I guess it is also a good thing that the new people don't know any different.

What an exciting year with your kids!! I had my surgery during my daughter's junior year, too. I've got a great pic of the 2 of us at her senior prom (I worked at her school).

It has been so fun to watch you shrink! You've rocked this thing! ((hugs))

Congrats on your weight loss!! i'll 3 months in on the 27th, hicups here and there but over all i am excited for all that ive done! my 5 year old loves my saggy arms, she said they are like pillows...right now that is her favorite part of mommy,, so i try not to hate them lol!
