Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Thank you all. I'm so glad I found this support group :-) your positive words and insight have been amazingly helpful. I had my surgery yesterday at 1... 12 hrs ago o_O Every thing went good cus I followed my pre op diet and would walk alot so my liver shrunk. The gas pain is pretty bad. But again everyone honesty really prepared me as much as I could be prepared. I feel 100% positive about my decision. No regrets yet. When the pain got at it's worse I didn't cry... More like pouted and the gave me loritab(sp?) it helped alot. When I woke up a hour ago I am now able to do more then 3 times up and down the hall. My surgical team is great and so is the hospital I'm at :-) everyone have a very blessed week :-)
