Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
First, Muscle weighs more then fat,
but if you are not holding food down then you'd better be doing protein supplements, or all of that precious muscle you have just built, will be digested away because your body will use it in place of the food you are not keeping down!
By taking in the extra protein, it makes our bodies use fat to burn rather then the muscle.
The second way working out can cause us to gain weight, is by causing an injury that would cause inflammation. Water is the easiest way to put weight on!
God Bless!
